The first time I heard the story of Hernan Cortes, I was listening to a podcast from an older gentleman who made money in real estate. From the moment I heard this story, it has never left me. In 1519, Hernan Cortes, leading an expedition landed in Mexico with his crew. Upon facing many dilemmas in this new world along with the Aztecs, Cortes ordered his crew to Burn their own ships. They had no choice but to look forward with no other options. Now whether this entire story is true or not, does not matter to me. What matters is how we can impact our world now and the people around us while embracing this mentality. While burning the ships may not seem like the smartest play. It gave him and his crew zero options but to press forward. Not taking a day off and sleeping on the comfortable ship but to fair the elements and press forward. This entire mentality has nothing to do with landscaping or construction. But entire.y about the impact we make to those around us. To show loyalty and trust in those around us. Work side by side making yourself and others better. Not just as a worker, but as an individual. Someone who can and wants to build whether it be a business or family. If we can inspire one person in our lives to better themselves every single day even if that just means as a mother or father. To put every fucking thing you have into being a parent to inspire your child. To show that child that you had no other options, but to be that best mother or father. To show that child you had absolutely no other options and nothing would get in your way. To show them that you BURNT THE SHIPS.
